Come learn what it takes to be an Athletic Trainer!

Come learn what it takes to be an Athletic Trainer!

Do you have dreams of working on the sidelines? Do you have a passion for helping people?

If so, please join us for the Las Positas College Athletic Training/Sports Medicine Summer Camp. The Kinesiology Department at Las Positas College is hosting this hands-on and engaging experiential opportunity for high school students interested in a career in athletic training/sports medicine.

Certified athletic trainers (ATs) from a variety of professional settings will conduct interactive lectures and laboratories on taping and wrapping skills; the prevention, care and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; as well as emergency management. Participants will also earn their CPR and First Aid Certification.

During the camp, students will have the opportunity to experince the exciting atmosphere of college sports and learn alongside certified ATs. You will also meet other students in the Tri-Valley who have the same career interest as you. Finally, camp participants will learn all about enrolling in the Athletic Training/Sports Medicine program at Las Positas College.

We look forward to meeting you and working with you to explore this exciting career field.
