Las Positas swimmers shine at chilly San Mateo meet.
The Las Positas men’s and women’s swimming teams flexed some muscle in the College of San Mateo Invitational on March 16. Hawks coach, Jason Craighead said the focus of the meet was to get in a lot of swims and practice racing.
Mission accomplished.

“The conditions were less than ideal, with rain/wind, and very little rest between events,” Craighead said. “Our preparation and training paid off, as we were able to maintain our speed through multiple races in a very short amount of time.”
He added that it was good to see that the training is starting to pay off.
“My hope is that this meet was a boost in confidence and carries some momentum into our home meet next week,” he said.
Las Positas will host the Hawk Invite on March 23-24, beginning at 10 a.m. both days.
