Bio

Coach Landis Spivey is a passionate and detail-oriented basketball coach dedicated to player development, academic growth, and building strong team culture. A former college athlete who competed at the junior college, NCAA Division I, and Division II levels, Spivey brings a firsthand understanding of the student-athlete experience and the discipline required to succeed both on and off the court.

While coaching at Lincoln High School in Stockton, he played a key role in leading the varsity program to a state championship appearance and guided his freshman team to an impressive 18–3 record. His coaching style emphasizes fundamentals, leadership, and accountability—developing complete players who excel in every aspect of the game.

In addition to his coaching success, Spivey has worked numerous basketball camps across various levels, providing instruction, mentorship, and skill development to athletes of all ages. His experience in sports videography, film analysis, and individual skill training allows him to integrate technology and detailed feedback into his coaching philosophy.

Spivey earned his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with an emphasis in Coaching, giving him a strong foundation in both athletic and academic leadership. His ultimate goal is to continue growing as a coach and make a lasting impact at the collegiate level—helping student-athletes at Las Positas College reach their full potential on the court, in the classroom, and in life.
