Strong Beginning

The Las Positas men's water polo team is off to a strong start under new head coach Nathan Brandon and returning coach Jason Craighead.
With a balanced attack from the starting lineup, the Hawks entered Friday's Ohlone Mini tournament with a 4-3 overall record, 1-0 in the Coast Conference.
The Hawks are led by sophomores Zach Ulrich, Vinny Vandersall, and Scott Ragatz.
Las Positas opened conference play with a 16-8 triumph over College of San Mateo on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Ulrich had a massive second period with four goals. Ragatz, Nick Ironside, Vandersall, and Logan Borrelli all finished with two goals.
Brandon has coached water polo and swimming at Livermore High, and served as an assistant coach at Las Positas.
