Ready To Soar

Divers from all over Northern California will be making their way to The Nest for the 2026 3C2A Nor-Cal Diving Qualifier this Saturday. Up for grabs in the 1M and 3M events are 8 tickets to the 3C2A State Finals which will be held on April 30-May 2nd on the campus of Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa.

As if the pressure for a trip to the state finals wasn't enough, the final ranking order will also determine the Coast Conference Champions at the 1-meter and 3-meter events.

On the women's side, returning as defending NorCal and Coast Conference champion in both the 1M and 3M is Ainsley Wade, who is looking to regain her form after fighting with an injury suffered earlier this year. Another Hawk to look for is freshman Laina Stifter, who has been at the top of the results in every meet she has participated this year, her lowest finish was a third place finish in the 3M in the first meet of the season back in January.

Joining Wade and Stifter are freshmen Caroline FordeJayden Helm, Ariana Leyva and Maggie Wilmont.

For the men, there will be five Hawks competing in the NorCal Regional for the first time in their careers. The group is led by Brady McNeilAaron GrundlerNick Thompson, Andrew Baker, with Jacob Niles joining the competition after some recent tutelage from renown Hawks diving coach Monte Young.

The meet will start at 10:00 am, with the women starting on the 1M and the men on the 3M. Once all dives are complete, scores are tallied and after brief break, the competition will resume with the women on the 3M and the men on the 1M.

Points earned from the results of the meet will be added to the team totals from the swimming competition (April 16-18 at De Anza College) where the Coast Conference Team Swim and Dive Champions will be crowned.
