The Las Positas women's volleyball team was in top form with Quad wins over Marin (3-0) and Redwoods (3-1) on Wednesday, Sept. 10. The Hawks (6-2), with lots of local talent and quality student-athletes, have won four in a row and are 3-0 at home.

"Great team effort with tough serving and balanced offense," Hawks head coach Jamie Hadenfeldt said of the Quad wins. 

"(Sophomore setter) Jade Dancel ran the show with 81 assists overall in the two matches, spreading the ball to all hitters," the coach added.

The Hawks' Ainsley Wade, a sophomore outside hitter, amassed 36 kills and 33 digs. Madelyn ("Madi") Huddleston hammered down 30 kills, along with 31 digs. Zepora Tia was outstanding with 21 kills, hitting over .500 percent, and 23 digs. Chloe Owyang tacked on 12 kills.

"Strong all-around performance from the team," Hadenfeldt said.

The Hawks will host Napa Valley on Wednesday, Sept. 17 (6:30 p.m.) and then travel to Reedley on Friday, Sept. 19 for Tri contests against Victor Valley and Reedley.
