The winning streak finally ended for the Las Positas women's volleyball.

After 11 consecutive victories, the Hawks fell to Ohlone 3-0 in their final nonconference game. The scores were 25-16, 25-19, 30-28, on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

"We were collectively uncharacteristically high (in) errors," head coach Jamie Hadenfeldt said the day after the loss. "We just couldn't get it going, but we stayed in it until the end. Time to look forward to conference play starting next week."
Las Positas (13-3) will have some tough road assignments next week.

The Hawks will travel to Cabrillo (14-2) on Wednesday, Oct. 15, in their Coast Conference-North Division opener, and then will be at Monterey Peninsula (11-2) on Friday, Oct. 17
Cabrillo, which beat Ohlone 3-1, is No. 17 in the CCCVCA Top 25 Rankings (Oct. 6). Monterey Peninsula is No. 20.Las Positas is in the state's Best of the Rest.

The loss to Ohlone was the Hawks' first since Sept. 3 at Merced. During their sterling 11-game winning run, they notched eight 3-0 victories.
Of the upcoming toughie against Cabrillo, Hadenfeldt said, "we will be ready for them."
