Las Positas College freshman Jordahn Johnson scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds to help lead the Hawks to an 89-54 non-conference win over visiting Modesto Junior College on Wednesday.
With the victory, Las Positas improved to 3-1 overall. For the Hawks, it was their second straight win by a margin of victory of over 30 points.
LPC, ranked No. 5 in Northern California, built a 43-22 lead at halftime that it would not relinquish. The Hawks shot 49 percent from the field, including a perfect 11 for 11 effort from Johnson.
Domonick Victor totaled 14 points and eight rebounds while Isaiah Victor added 13 points.
The Hawks return to the court on Saturday (Nov. 13) when they host Merritt College in a 3 p.m. non-conference game.
