No. 3 Hawks rally in second half to beat Skyline 73-68

SAN BRUNO --- Jordan Johnson led all with 28 points and 15 rebounds as No. 3 state-ranked Las Positas College completed a second-half comeback to defeat Skyline College 73-68 on Friday night.

The Hawks improved to 6-1 in the Coast Conference North Division standings and 19-2 overall. LPC has won three straight.

Las Positas actually trailed in the contest and was down 41-35 at halftime. But some key adjustments led to a furious comeback. The Hawks outscored Skyline 38-27 over the final 20 minutes to pull out the win.

Johnson continued his impressive string of games as he posted his third consecutive double-double and seventh over his last eight games. He shot 13 for 15 from the field and added three blocks to go with a pair of steals.

Lee Jones, Jr. added 14 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds while Jorren Edmonds chipped in with 7 points and 7 rebounds.

Las Positas returns to action on Monday (Feb. 7) when the Hawks host Chabot College in a 5 p.m. Coast Conference North Division game.
