Facing its second top-three state-ranked opponent in three games, No. 13 Las Positas College suffered a 2-0 loss to undefeated and No. 3-ranked Foothill College in Los Altos Hills on Tuesday.

Last Tuesday, the Hawks suffered a 2-0 loss to No. 2 Hartnell College. The loss dropped LPC to 7-3-2 overall and 1-2-1 in Coast Conference play while Foothill kept its perfect record intact at 11-0 and 4-0.

Las Positas battled Foothill over a scoreless first half. But the match turned quickly in Foothill's favor in the second, as the Owls' Tyler Ohman scored at the 46-minute mark. Kevin Salto made it 2-0 Foothill with his goal shortly after in the 48^th minute.

Miguel Cortez put together a good effort in goal for LPC, playing the entire 90 minutes.

The Hawks will look to bounce back on Friday (Oct. 15) when they travel to Ohlone College for a 6:30 p.m. Coast Conference game.
