Hawks beat Cabrillo for the 2nd time
LPC continued its successful start to the season Saturday night by defeating Cabrillo 73-60 in a nonconference game in Aptos.
The Hawks have now won 4 of their first 5 games, with their lone loss coming to Redwoods in the Hawk Classic last week. It was also LPC's second win over Cabrillo this season. The Hawks beat Cabrillo 69-62 Nov. 4 in their season-opener.
Jasmine Odell led four Hawks players in double-figure scoring with 19 points. Kristjan Aubrey added 14 points, Erika Duarte had 13, and Sarah Rodriguez added 10. Brianna Gay and Cayla Nava chipped in 9 and 8 points, respectively.
Odell also led the Hawks in rebounding with 18, 7 of which came on the offensive end. Duarte collected 9 rebounds, and Aubrey had 6. Rodriguez led the team in assists with 4.
Saturday's game was LPC's first on the road this season, and it will try to make it two wins in a row away from Livermore on Tuesday when the Hawks travel to Salinas to take on Hartnell at 5:30 p.m.
Hartnell is 2-2 and coming off a 68-40 home blowout over Mendocino on Saturday.
