Cayla Nava went off Friday, making 10 three-point shots and finishing with 33 points as LPC routed L.A. Pierce 74-34 in the consolation round of the Phillips 66 Invitational at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
Nava shot 11 of 21 from the field, including 10 of 16 from three-point range to help the Hawks bounce back after their first-round defeat to Allan Hancock.
Jasmine Odell added 13 points and 16 rebounds for LPC, which also got 10 points and 13 rebounds from Chelsea Bantley. Brianna Gay contributed 10 rebounds.
The Hawks (6-2) conclude the tournament Saturday at noon by taking on Hartnell for the consolation title. LPC defeated Hartnell 68-52 on Nov. 24 in Salinas.
