LPC wins consolation title by defeating Hartnell
The Hawks won the consolation title game of the Phillips 66 Invitational by beating Hartnell 53-49 Saturday at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo.
Cayla Nava paced LPC (7-2) with 16 points, while teammate Kristjan Aubry added 10 points. Aubry led the Hawks in rebounding with 10. Nava was named to the all-tournament team.
Sarah Rodriguez came off the bench to contribute 9 points and 8 rebounds, and Jasmine Odell filled out the stat sheet with 8 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals before fouling out.
The victory was the Hawks' second over Hartnell in two weeks. LPC beat the Panthers 68-52 on Nov. 24.
LPC continues its month-and-a-half-long road trip Dec. 11 when it takes on Merced at 1 p.m. in the first round of the Fresno City College Tournament.
