Bio

Coach Coffey is a native of Westford, MA, comes to The Nest from the College of San Mateo, where he spent four years as an assistant coach. During his time there, the Bulldogs boasted a record of 60-37 including four straight seasons with a playoff victory.

As the lead assistant coach, Coffey gained experience in all aspects of the women's basketball program. He is well regarded for his attention to detail in film study, player development, and scouting reports.

Before starting his coaching career, Coffey played basketball collegiately for the Colby-Sawyer Chargers in New London, NH. In his time playing at Colby-Sawyer College, Coffey was named to two All-Conference teams. He scored 1,580 career points for the Chargers making him seventh all time in school history in that category. Coffey was a two-year captain for both men’s basketball and volleyball, which he also played at Colby-Sawyer.

After graduating from Colby-Sawyer College with a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, he looked to continue his playing career while also pursuing a master’s degree at Bournemouth University in Bournemouth, England. Despite the cancelation of the season due to United Kingdom Covid Restrictions, Coffey still graduated from with a master’s in Sport Management.

Coach Coffey currently resides in Foster City with his girlfriend Micaela.
