On and Off The Pitch

Three Hawks from the men's and women's soccer team received letter from The United Soccer Coaches Association letting them know that they have been selected to the 2025 Junior College Scholar All-American Team.

The trio, along with the other members of the Scholar All-American Team, were awarded for the contributions on the field and in the class room.

On the women's side are Giovanna Coble and Allison Mitchell who both were named 2nd Team Scholar All-Americans. Coble, a midfielder from San Ramon, is a Kinesiology major with a 4.0 G.P.A. Mitchell, who is out of Castro Valley, controlled the back line for the Hawks as a defender, also has a 4.0 G.P.A. while majoring in Nursing.

Representing the men's team is Arteen Arianmanesh who was named 1st Team Scholar All-American. A forward hailing from Livermore has a 3.89 G.P.A., joins Coble as a Kinesiology major. It is believed, according to Head Coach Andy Cumbo, that Arianmanesh is the first Hawk to be named 1st Team All-American and 1st Scholar All-American in the same year.

The criteria to be named Scholar All-American includes being a sophomore in athletic standing, have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average throughout their career and play in a minimum of 75% of all their team's games and be an elite player as supported by playing honors and contributions to their team.

The All-American Ceremony and Reception will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 in Philadelphia, PA. The event honors All-America players at the youth, high school and college level an is held in conjunction with the annual Unitized Soccer Coaches Conventions. They expect over 1,200 attendees celebrating the best amateur soccer players in the Unites States.
