The sophomores of the Las Positas women's water polo team said goodbye to their fans and to The Nest in the best way possible, a 9-7 win over the visiting Bulldogs of the College of San Mateo.

While the first three periods saw a lot of back in forth action on the scoreboard, it was two goals by Amy Heath that gave the Hawks the lead in the 4^th.  From there it was the defense's time to shine, shutting out the visitors sealing the win.

The Hawks had 5 goals from Heath, 2 from Erin Cain and a goal apiece from Makenzie Duffin and Jaymie Helm. Monica Ureno had two assists while Duffin, Helm and Stephanie Wise each recorded one. Jeorgia Ruegsegger had 7 saves in the net.

This is the 1^st conference win and 4^th of the season in the programs return to action after not fielding a team a year ago. It also moves the team into 5^th place in the standings. The Hawks will finish out the regular season this Friday as they take on City College of San Francisco in San Francisco, game time is schedule for 3 pm. Go Hawks!
