Back on Track

The Hawks (5-3-1) finished nonconference play with a 4-2 triumph at Diablo Valley College last Tuesday afternoon.
Las Positas had a big first half against the Vikings as Yulia Ikuta got things rolling with goals in the 11th and 18th minutes off assists from Berina Husic and Reece Bingham. Husic made it 3-0 in the 35th minute off a Isabella Hernandez assist, and Isabel Garcia upped the margin off a Camryn Caliz assist in the 40th minute.
They will have a pair of cross-conference matches this week. First up is a showdown with district rival Chabot on Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Hayward. The Hawks bested Chabot 3-0 on Sept. 12 at The Nest. Then on Friday, they will take on Evergreen Vallley in San Jose, kick off schedule for 4 pm.
