It's kind of a light week for the Las Positas men's and women's soccer teams, but the Hawks are in a good place overall.

The men's team has a good chance to host a first-round regional playoff match, while the women have an opportunity to make the playoffs for the 10th consecutive season (2020 was a dark year during the COVID pandemic).

The LPC men (12-4-4, 5-4-3 Coast-South) will host Skyline (11-4-4, 7-3-2 Coast-North) at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14. This will be the first game of a doubleheader on Sophomore Night for the men's women's teams.

The Las Positas women (7-9-3, 2-6-2) will host Skyline (6-9-0, 2-7-0) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

The regional playoffs will start next week.

"Both teams are working very hard to secure a position in the 'third season' and to finish off the, 'second season' with as much momentum as possible," said Andy Cumbo, who coaches both Las Positas teams.
